Coffee Analysis, Pt. 2: Projections and Investors

So, today, I went to the new coffee shop, asked for a capauccino, and they were out of espresso beans.

Really? Can’t keep inventory this soon in your life? That’s no good.

While I was there, it looked like some investors came in to talk to the manager-type. I could tell this because they were the only people in the place who weren’t crazy 20-30 something hipsters. I almost felt like telling them, “run away now! Get out before it’s too late!”

I did some rough projections with a lot of quick assumptions, but from this sketch it looks like they will do slightly better than break even. Of course, this projection doesn’t include paying the manager, investors, and all that fun stuff.

This is what they teach you to do with an MBA. It’s like my breakfast analysis of yore.

Next up: How to save it.
